Uplift
is a weight lifting, progressive overload focussed, closed-group cohort: small group, same coach, six weeks together. Your spot is reserved for every session, so you build strength alongside the same people and never have to scramble for a booking.
What's a cohort? One cohort = 6 classes (one class per week for 6 weeks).
Three ways to join
1. Included with your Reformer membership
Monthly or yearly members
Uplift comes with your membership at no extra cost. Because your spot is held for all 6 classes in the cohort, a missed class is a no-show ($20 fee), and early cancellations aren't available for Uplift sessions. This keeps the group full and makes sure no one is holding a spot someone else could use.
2. Pay per cohort
$120 per cohort (6 classes)
No membership needed. For the best results, we recommend joining two cohorts at once so you train twice a week: that's 12 classes over 6 weeks for $240.
Mat Lab members save 20%, paying $96 per cohort (6 classes), or $192 for two cohorts (12 classes).
3. Uplift+
$250 per 6 weeks
Our best-value option, every week for 6 weeks:
2 Uplift classes (two cohorts, 12 classes in total)
1 Mat class (6 classes in total)
That's 18 classes for $250, just $10 more than two standalone cohorts, with a full Mat class each week on top.
Why the no-show fee and no early cancellations?
Reformer classes cost more to run per spot than Uplift. On an unlimited membership, booking and then cancelling can mean one person holds two spots while another is left waiting. Reserved cohort spots with a no-show fee keep things fair, and a group that shows up is what makes cohorts work.
Register below for first access to your cohort on December 14th. Liftoff January 4th.

UpLift is a small, closed-group class built around progressive overload — the simple but powerful training principle of gradually increasing the demand on your muscles over time. Each 6-week cycle includes two 45 minute classes per week, and the goal for every participant is to track and build on their own progress, whether that means lifting a bit more weight, adding a few more reps, or improving range of motion on a movement. All classes take place at The Mat Labs with a weight bench and dumbbells. You will have your own station throughout.
The program itself stays the same for all 6 weeks — same structure, same core movements, same class format. That consistency is what makes progressive overload actually work: because you're repeating the same movements week after week, we can clearly track your progress and know exactly when it's time to increase the weight, reps, or range of motion. We'll be using dumbbells and a weight bench to keep the format focused and approachable, whether you're new to strength training or looking to build on a foundation you already have.

Partly, sure, we want to be jacked and ready for the apocalypse. But honestly, the bigger reason is you. A lot of you have been asking for more strength work, and a lot of our own teachers have been outsourcing our weight training elsewhere and realizing we want it to be part of what we do here too. Between the two, it became clear: we want to give our clients what they're already asking for, and we want Glebe Pilates to be a more comprehensive fitness solution, so you don't have to go looking elsewhere for strength training when it can live right here, under one roof, alongside everything else we offer.

We designed this program with a few different people in mind, and you may see yourself in more than one:
Clients who've been asking us for more weight and a bigger strength challenge
Anyone looking to improve muscle tone
Women navigating perimenopause or menopause, where building lean muscle and supporting bone density becomes especially important
Anyone who wants a program handed to them, with a clear plan to follow, instead of piecing together random workouts on their own at the gym
Anyone who isn't accustomed to or fully comfortable in a typical gym setting and would rather build strength somewhere familiar and supportive

The program is designed to have two complementing sessions a week. When signing up for a cohort, you will see Class A and Class B. Aim for one of each per week.

Like peanut butter and jelly. Different, but perfection together. We know strength training can sometimes feel like it's in competition with Pilates, but the two actually complement each other beautifully. Pilates builds the core stability, control, alignment, and mind-body connection that make every lift safer and more effective. Weight training builds the raw strength, bone density, and muscle mass that support everything you do on the reformer or the mat. One builds the foundation, the other builds on top of it — together, they give you a stronger, more balanced body than either could on its own. UpLift isn't meant to replace your Pilates practice; it's meant to work alongside it.
